Baby Life

Outnumbered, exhausted, and only slightly overwhelmed, but madly in love with my family.
A little over three weeks ago we added the latest addition to our home -- a beautiful baby girl.

I love being a dad -- but after three weeks of working from home and juggling preschool and piano practices, cleaning, cooking, and trying to find the odd moment of silence -- I am totally in awe of my wife -- how does she do this? I have a new admiration for her and wonder if I should feel guilty that I look forward to going back to the office.

Mothers are truly amazing people - and I think any mom who spends their full time caring for multiple children 5 and under should be given daily medals of honor.

Tonight -- I gave my wife her first night out alone since the baby. Oldest two kids finally asleep an hour past their bedtime. Baby fed and napping -- but surely to need feeding again soon. kitchen almost clean -- and I an totally wiped -- but grateful I finally have a few moments of quiet to update my blog. I will likely not do it again for a while so here is a picture to commemorate the occasion.

To all the moms out there -- thanks for the amazing things you do every day.

To my wife -- I love you -- you are truly a gift and blessing to our whole family.
